Employee absence in the USA: We don't have a way to accurately capture the data due to the various federal and state laws that allow protected personal use and other than personal use of our sick leave benefit. The protected use of this benefit forbids us, as employer, from using the time away from work to be counted against an employee.
We do have an absenteeism limit of 3% for employees, if they exceed the limit they are counselled. Absenteeism is the only instances that don't fall under the protected leave.
